[Catherine was standing just inside of the entrance to the Ari Apartments in the morning, just before work. At first, she'd stop and push a few buttons on her Pip-Boy before looking like she was going to leave... only stopping just before taking that first step. She looked outside, backed away from the doors, and looked around, quietly looking for an excuse to not go to work.

Something to keep her from going outside.]

((As part of her spent 1% that merits mentioning now, Catherine's education includes the knowledge of the outside being a nuclear wasteland.))

[On one of her occasional trips to the apartments to procure food, Arya, ever-attentive, notices Catherine just standing there, and stops to regard her with mild interest.]

What, the Pip-Boy? It's an arm-mounted computer, for the most part. Only most of it's broken at the moment. Stupid thing.

It's... hell, how am I going to explain this. It's a machine that can, uh, pretty much do anything with the right programs. This one's kinda limited, but it stores maps, functions as a radio, and you can turn it into a flashlight if necessary. It does a lot more than that, but a lot of it's just junk data at the moment.
