[So when last we saw Catherine, she was drunk driving/shooting. When the appropriate curse fell on her, well, her first drunken impression was that she really shouldn't touch... whatever it was she was drinking. Because she had gone to drink, not get stoned off her ass.

And then she woke up outside the next day and was still a cougar.

Today was not going to be a good day.]

[Booster wandered by and gave the Pip-Boy-wearing cougar an odd look.]

...It's a little early for the island to be up to its old tricks again, isn't it?

[It is never too early, that can always be certain.

Of course, pumas cannot articulate this fact and instead roll their eyes and make random Big Cat Sounds.]

[Booster drops into a squat to be more at eye-level with Catherine.]

Can't talk, either, huh? Pretty rough deal you've got there.

[Eh, she deserved it on some level. Grif was more amusing anyway. She gave a nod before stretching out her neck and getting back up to her feet.]

[It's not a kitten. It's not a kitten, right? Still... fangirling this big cat doesn't exactly seem safe, and Tear's not that stupid.]

But it's so cute... ♥ ...although it also looks very dangerous.

[Tear readies a knife just in case the cougar decides to spring, and approaches slowly, keeping some distance between them, her fangirlish tendencies having worn off very quickly, and her expression turning grave.]

Excuse me, but... can you understand my voice?

[Because by now she knows most animals are actually people.]

[The cougar has been trying to poke buttons on that computer for a while, so hearing a voice made her snap her head up.

And then once she understood the question, a quick nod. At least people weren't assuming she was some animal out of the woods... but then some things made that obvious. She would hope.]

I thought that might be the case...

[Tear takes a closer look at the large cat and notices that it seems to be trying to program something into that... for lack of an appropriate word... that "fon machine" on its front leg.]

Do you need some help with that?

[At that, she shook her head rapidly and did her best to keep it to herself. She wasn't able to really get any sort of communication out of it, but she'd rather not have anyone else mess around with it.

Especially when she was in a state that she couldn't immediately fix it.]

[Yes, it'd probably be for the best. Tears nods her head in comprehension.] All right, understood. I suppose there isn't much I can do anyway. If you manage to think of something that I may be able to help you with, feel free to seek me out.
